What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the way of the future for disability services in Australia. It is a new system being introduced that will guide disability support services nationally by taking a whole-of-life approach to services. Essentially what this means is that under the NDIS, people with a disability, their families and carers, will have more support and choice over the services they receive.
The scheme is a large reform taking place in the disability sector. Therefore to ensure its sustainability for the future, it is being rolled out in stages by The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). A full national rollout of the scheme is expected by 2018.
Can I access the NDIS?
In order to access the scheme you need to meet certain residency and disability requirements. For individuals that are already in receipt of government funding for disability services, there is a high probability that you will also be eligible for NDIS funding.

How can SCL S&S help me prepare for a review?
SCL Sport and Support are not a registered provider, SCL Sport and Support are a privet provider and can help you prepare for the NDIS with Writing supporting documents for our clients. This will involve helping you understand the eligibility requirements and when the scheme will be . We understand that preparation is essential, therefore we will work with you and your support networks to ensure you are adequately prepared for your meeting with the Planner who will approve your financial package. SCL Sport and Support will assist in planning your goals for the future and ensuring you have the right services in place to achieve these goals and aspirations. We will focus on delivering an integrated approach to planning where you have choice and control over decisions that impact your life.
SCL Sport and Support charges fees in line with the NDIS Price Guide. SCL Sport and Support are only able to charge self managed and plan managed clients
